A back to back installation is when the outdoor unit is or can be installed directly behind the indoor unit.
An extended pipe run is when the outdoor unit is located away from the indoor unit with the pipe run for gas run through the ceiling space or along an external wall etc to connect the indoor unit to the outdoor unit.
All Air Conditioner installations are subject to the Manufacturer’s warranty for the indoor and outdoor unit and a 2 Year Installation Warranty
